WE ARE SUSTAINABLE
Sustainable in the cultivation of the plant, in care for the land, in transport of the harvest, in the production process. We are aware that the Earth is a precious asset to be treated with the maximum care.

WATER AND PHOTOVOLTAIC SAVINGS
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
We protect the land, the environment, the harvest. Only this way can we guarantee a superior quality final product. We are P.D.O., working to reduce the use of pesticides to a minimum, preferring a more aggressive natural fight through the selection of varieties “naturally resistant” to plant diseases or agricultural techniques that prevent the conditions necessary for the development of disease.
We use drip irrigation in our fields, measuring the exact quantity of water necessary for the plant and only the plant. The result is a reduction in waste of water, an increasingly precious resource! – we eliminate the water accumulations that could create a microclimate for bacterial and fungal illnesses that could ruin the plant. The choice of the photovoltaic system as an energy source allows us to charge and use our electric basil cutting machines without CO2 emissions, contributing to pollution reduction of the air of our fields.
The company is always in search of more resistant and productive varieties that also preserve the quality, the reason for which we are in contact with all the most important seed producers, and with whom we collaborate by performing stress and resistance tests and data analyses on experimental plots that we reserve for research.

ACRES OF LAND
Anfossi organizes its production over more than 148 acres that it cultivates directly or through a network of its contributing associates. 148 acres in Liguria is an important amount of land, considering the geological structure of the region. They are all pieces of plots ranging from 4,000 to 10,000 m2. This requires a harvest using extremely small and delicate machines that preserve the quality of the product.
FAMILIES WHO WORK WITH US
Over the years, our contributors have created an excellent synergy with the company. This “big family” has created the teamwork that allows concrete and constructive interventions to face the inevitable surprises that country life involves and that help us achieve the best quality product available thanks to the care that each member dedicates to the cultivation.

AGRICULTURE
Its unique morphology makes Liguria a “difficult” land, difficult to farm and to manage. A land that has always tested farmers. Our agriculture is heroic, made up of great struggles and great dedication to finding the most effective farming techniques and methods.
